Behind the Handlers
Josh and Leanna have shared a lifelong passion for animals, one that began in childhood and has only grown stronger over the years. Surrounded by a variety of animals—including horses, rabbits, goats, chickens, and dogs—they both developed a deep respect for animal care and behavior from an early age.
Leanna holds dual degrees in Environmental Science & Policy and Animal Behavior, along with professional certifications in dog training and accreditation in the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program. Her journey in animal care began at 10 years old, assisting at her uncle’s veterinary clinic. Since then, she has gained extensive hands-on experience through roles at training facilities, doggy daycare centers, and as a trusted pet sitter. Over the years, Leanna has worked with hundreds of dogs—from playful puppies to those facing complex behavioral challenges such as fear and reactivity—helping each one grow into a balanced, well-mannered companion.
Josh served for years as the head trainer at a reputable training facility, where he helped transform the lives of countless dogs and their families. He remains committed to continuing education through seminars, the latest behavioral research, and collaboration with other trainers, ensuring a flexible, informed approach tailored to each individual dog.
Together, Josh and Leanna are committed to taking the time to truly understand each client’s goals and challenges. Their mission is to create realistic, achievable training plans without compromising on quality or personalized care—ensuring both dogs and their humans feel supported every step of the way for a happy Home Life!
